The Alleghany County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer/E-911 Dispatcher. Applicant should be 18 years or older and be able to work all shifts, rotating. Applicant must be able to work in stressful situations and a face paced environment. Must be able to type proficiently and have general knowledge of computers. Previous dispatch certification or dispatch experience helpful. The starting yearly salary is $33,960 or more, depending on experience. High school diploma or a GED is required for employment.
